As we said in our last post, Since 1977, Spirit of Beacon Day has been bringing the vibrant and diverse community of Beacon New York together for a day filled with good vibes and camaraderie.This year, we were thrilled to be part of the celebration, sharing the passion for skateboarding with family, friends, and locals who came out. From fundraising for the Beacon skatepark, handing out free stuff, and a skate demo, it was a day to remember.
One of the highlights of our day was fundraising for the Beacon skateboarding park and showing the plans for the new skatepark that will begin construction this upcoming spring. If you missed the event but still want to support, feel free to reach out; every little bit helps!
Thanks to our friends at Etnies Skateboarding, we gave out a bunch of free shoes and gear. We also raffled off a complete skateboard thanks to 5boro, Ace Trucks, Bones Wheels, Bones Bearings, and Pepper Grip. Also a special thanks to local restaurants Baja328, and Leo's Restaurant, for donating gift cards to our raffle as well. Thanks to all the support, all proceeds from the raffle have been donated directly to the Beacon Skatepark Fund.
Our crew's demo had the crowd stoked. We hope it inspired some of you to start skateboarding. We even had a new potential shredder join in.
